Ecumenical Lent Study Meetings

Each Wednesday evening during March, we will be continuing our joint study meetings with the other churches in Hazel Grove, as part of our Churches Together activities.  The sessions start at 7.30pm.  Please do come along to one or more of them – you don’t have to have attended those that have already taken place.  The remaining dates and venues are:

7th March             St Peters Roman Catholic Church

14th March           Norbury Church

21st March           Methodist Church

We’re following another in the “York Course” series, entitled “On the Third Day”.  An opportunity for worship, discussion, and learning, with refreshments served as well.

Mothering Sunday – 11 March 2018

Mothering Sunday this year falls on the second Sunday of the month (11th March), and we will be celebrating Mothering Sunday, as we always do, with an All-Age Service at 10.15.  We look forward very much to welcoming visitors and wider families at this service as well, as we give thanks for mothers and motherhood generally.  As the saying goes: “We may not all be mothers, but we have all had them!”  The service will include our puppet ministry, and a feature on the Mothers Union, as well as the traditional giving out of a small gift to mums and others.  Do come along, and invite a friend or neighbour too.

Prayer Corner

Please do make use of our prayer corner (front right corner of church – at the front of the south aisle). Spend some quiet time there; use the prayer resources; perhaps light a candle, or fill in a prayer card if there’s someone you’d like us to include in prayers in services; or ask one of us to talk or pray there with you. It’s there for everyone, whenever the church is open.

Home Groups / Fellowship Groups

We run a number of “home groups” (or “fellowship groups”) at Norbury, for learning, sharing, support and social activity.
