Lent Foodbank Collection

By

Many people at Norbury have generously supported the Advent appeals we made in 2017 and 2018 to support the Stockport Foodbank based at Hazel Grove Baptist Church. This year, because of the ever-increasing need, we are making an additional appeal for help during Lent. There will be a Foodbank collecting box at the entrance to church and you can simply place any items that you would like to donate in it on your way into church. This could be as you arrive for a Sunday service or at any time during the week. You can place as many or as few items as you able to give; it will all be very much appreciated. The appeal will begin on Ash Wednesday, 6th March and continue all the way through to Easter Day. The following items are urgently needed: Tinned fruit, veg, meat, fish, coffee and puddings. Other things that they give out in their food parcels to needy families are breakfast cereals, rice, tinned meat, tea or coffee, biscuits, snacks and treats, nappies and baby wipes. Do please also bear in mind that tins of baked beans and soups are not needed at this time. Thank you all so very much for your generosity.
