Like singing at Christmas? Why not join the Norbury Christmas Choir to sing at the Carol Service on December 16th at 6.30pm. Ability to read music is not necessary. Thursday evening rehearsals start at 7.15 from early November. Contact Brenda Lawry or Richard Lawry if you’d like to join in!
Very many thanks to all who so generously contributed our Harvest offerings for The Wellspring. Everything given was very much appreciated. Whilst Harvest offerings have certainly helped to stock their storeroom, certain items are quickly diminished. All contributions are much valued and needed; however, there is a particular urgency for tinned meats, sugar and coffee. Warm clothing, sleeping bags and rucksacks are also urgently needed.
Our annual Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 24th November. Please put this date in your diary and start routing around for items for the tombola, Mother’s Union goods and second-hand paperback book stall.
NORBURY PARISH CHURCH presents SUNDAY SERENADES on the 4th of November 3-4 pm including ‘Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock’ for voice, clarinet and piano, gypsy songs by Dvorak and operatic favourites. Performed by Hrafnhildur Björnsdóttir (soprano), Andrew Wilson (clarinet) and Martyn Parkes (piano) from Chetham’s School of Music.
Followed by refreshments in the Legh room. Admission is free with retiring collection.
