Norbury Church would like to say a massive “thank you” to Sainsbury’s, Hazel Grove for their brilliant support with our work during Christian Aid Week. Our bucket collection at front of store raised £307. This represents a great addition to our funds, which were further enhanced by street collections, sponsored walk, cake sale and church donations.
Sainsbury’s staff were utterly supportive and helpful on the day, which, alongside all the Summer sunshine, made it a great, fun experience. Also: big thanks to Jan Smith, Publicity Rep, for all her help
At Norbury, we support a significant number of Christian organisations both in the UK and across the world which seek to share the love of Christ. On Sunday June 10th, a display in the Legh Room will highlight the wonderfully wide work of these societies. The evening service that day will celebrate and pray for the organisations and the amazing work they do. All of the organisations welcome individual supporters so be open to getting involved!
Val Hindmarsh will be ordained priest at Chester Cathedral, 5.00pm on Saturday 2nd June. We are organising a coach for those wishing to attend – leaving Norbury at 3.00pm and returning around 8.00pm.
